I spotted this proposal, and I find it representative of many fine environmental proposals going through the NSUN at the moment. I urge you to consider endorsing it, as voting ends today.

Text of proposal:
End of Polluting Power Plants
Category: Environmental; A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.
Industry Affected: All Businesses
Proposed by: Hansastadt Danzig
Description: Pollution is a major problem. The huge number of power plants for electricity hungry people is not helping.
It is hereby proposed that the following pollotion generation plants be immediatly banned and disassembled.
1. Nuclear power plants - Extremely hazardous to operate as the threat of radiation poisoning is always a constant fear. Nuclear power plants are to be immediatly banned.
2. Coal and oil powered plants do nothing but fill the atmosphere with massive quantities of pollutants. They are to be immediatly banned.
3. Hydro-electric power. Damming rivers is dangerous to wildlife. The salmon cannot get to their spawning grounds, and the land covered by the resulting lake deprives the former inhabitants of their homes. They are to be immediatly banned.
4. Windmill generated power. The massive number of windmills required to generate electricity is not only unsightly, but a hazard to birds who may fly into the rotating blades. They are to be immediatly banned.
5. Solar power collection stations. The large number solar energy collection plates required causes a blemish upon the land, depriving wildlife of their homes, as well as being eye pollution. Besides, everybody knows too much sun causes cancer. They are to be immediatly banned.
6. Other alternative energy sources. The use of stationary bicycles to generate power would be acceptable, provided that only humans do the pedaling. This would promote not only efficient use of electricity, as it may be a bit scarce, but would also promote good health because everybody knows that bicycling is good for you. Any sort of device rigged up to harness animals against their will to turnthe generators is animal abuse and will not be permitted.
7. Any other power source not mentioned besides the bicycle option is obviously harmful in some way, and is to be banned immediatly. Everybody knows this.
