i need support for my proposal its called "get rid of guns act" your support is much needed!
You should post a copy here for people to debate. Though judging by the title, I don't think it'd have much chance of reaching quorum.

I don't know where to begin with my criticism of this proposal, so I'm going to just say that we are against it and will not support it. The main point is that who owns and uses guns is a National issue and the UN should not even be addressing it.
Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

That is destroying a somewhat large part of the game.

guns kill childern, people my pull the triger but its the gun and bullet that really do it
so guns kill!!! :!:
You know, once I had this cool post where I used * to denote where a bunch of chorus girls kicked there legs in the air, along with various BB Code additives, to make people pay attention to the fact there are
NATIONAL ISSUES
to cover this, but you see, I have to go program a DVD/VCR player to tape some motor racing at 2:00 AM for a relative, so yes, feel my pain, and, I really could not be bothered going to that extent mentioned above to point out that,
NATIONAL ISSUES
Cover guns several times over.

If somebody wanted to kill a child and there were no guns available, that person would be able to find other way to kill that child. I once knocked my brother unconscious with a 10" iron skillet.
Shall we ban cookware too?
It's not the guns that are the problem, it's the people that are using them. Criminals that kill don't need guns to do it.

still, we need to reduce number of murderers and kids who brought gun to school to show their teacher that they are adults who dont need to study.
I believe that we should enforce law that only people with proper certificate and all those legal paper may bring guns around or buy/keep them.
Note: this paper must be approved and stamped by goverment.
Reducing the number of guns doesn't reduce the number of murderers. That's like banning beer to reduce the number of drinkers... there are still plenty of options left.

Can you cite evidence that backs up this statement? Because I can't see the correlation between fewer guns and lower crime.

So what's the next step? There are an infinite number of ways to kill a person. You can't ban substances that occur in nature. You can't ban perfectly necessary tools and machines. You cannot ban fire. You cannot ban pillows or bathtubs or ropes or wires or...
Get the picture? This is a journey of an infinite number of steps, and goes nowhere.

can we all agree killing is bad
Sure, we can agree killing is bad. An armed populace is a good way to prevent it, too. Cabinian crime is not low despite high gun ownership and liberal concealed carry laws. Cabinian crime is low because of it.

to make people pay attention to the fact there are
NATIONAL ISSUES
Maybe a bunch of delegates saying the same thing will have some effect! :)
Because you are totally correct ... like gun control or not, the entire issue of "guns" and how a society should deal with them is a national issue.
What is next? Advocating that all nations speak and use English?

Ok, despite the obvious idiocy of the proposal for the reasons written, I would like to point out another.
Much like the recently defeated ENPA, this proposal seeks to disarm UN nations but does nothing to disarm war-mongering non-UN nations.
So, when one of those nations decides to send a massive invasion into your country, do you plan to defend yourself with pitchforks and sticks?
What is next? Advocating that all nations speak and use English?

Not yet. But I did see a proposal not too long ago supporting a single recognized language.
