The resolution at hand is perhaps one of the most idealistic and positive resolutions presented recently at the United Nations.

And most dangerous.

There are countless nations in our world, and only some - SOME - are members of the UN and therefore bound to its statues and resolutions.

Those nations who are not bound by the decisions of the General Assembly will see an enormous opportunity to fill the power vaccuum left by the total disarmament of these weapons by all UN states.

What do we say to those states who are threatened by rogue, non-UN nations who possess WMD's? Are we to be blackmailed and coeresed into negotiations for God knows what by these states?

Without amendments, I cannot with good faith vote YEA on this resolution, nor will I endanger the half billion plus citizens who call our nation, home.
