I know that some of you are discontent with recent proposals. Some of you want more conservative resolutions. Some of you want people to be more concerned about the UN.
NationStates Political Alliance
1. Membership shall be open to all who have conservative views, or who have a proposal worth submission, and consideration, or are truly concerned about the UN, and the resolutions it passes.
2. There is to be a Head of the Alliance, that Head being elected by the members.
There is to be Heads under him according to the number of delegates.
A. When a member has submitted a proposal, he is to submit it to the Heads of the Alliance, who will consider it.
B. If the proposal is found to be needful, the Heads shall telegram the delegates under them, and notify them of the proposal.
3. When a proposal has been approved by the Heads, and telegrammed
to the member delegates, who shall approve it.
4. Which proposals the Heads choose to notify members of is to be lenient, the main purpose is to actually get the proposal to vote.
5. Any member may send in a proposal with the knowledge that it will probably be approved. Proposals will not be approved if they are stupid, or ridiculous.
6. It is requested of all members that they approve proposals by members in the Alliance in an unbiased manner. The hardest part of getting a proposal passed in the UN, is actually getting it to vote. That is our main consideration.
7. This organization would also provide a way for NationStates players with concerned about the UN to communicate.
What it comes down to is, members approving good proposals so that the proposals that we really need get to vote, and fighting proposala like "abortion rights" and "End Nuclear Proliferation Act." If you have comments, suggestions, or questions, please post them here, or telegram me. And please remember that this topic is not about politics, it is about this organization.

That certainly is the dream, isn't it? Well, if it is even concievable that this escalate to the level you are talking about, I'm in all the way. Perhaps if we ask real nice like, the architechts will even make us our own forum to make this whole process more efficient.

I'd be interested, unfortunately I don't have much voting power since I'm not delegate though for my region (the vast majority of nations in my region are liberal or some form of left wing).
However, I can contribute ideas and such, as well as try to convince the delegate for my region :) liberal or no.
So count me in.

I thank you all for your support. This is currently in the planning stages. I'll notify you when we are ready to begin. In the meantime, I would appreciate any ideas you might have.

I won't officially join, as it isn't my intent, but I do support this type of ideology instead of leaving the UN, like the typical player.
I applaud your efforts.

I'm all the way in.......*SPLASH*
I must agree with Tuesday Heights. I myself am considered liberal for my country, but I think I am quite moderate here. But, I encourage you to work with the system first, rather than try to fight against it -- it usualy is more productive and takes less energy.

Since some people had the wrong ideas, I believe, I have rewritten the charter, so that it better defines our goals, and lays out the system better. It also look a lot more spiffy.
NationStates Political Alliance
1. Any nation with conservative views, a proposal worth submission, or who is genuinely concerned about the UN, may join.
2. The alliance’s goal is to have 150 delegates in it.
3. Delegates would be divided into 25 groups.
A. Each group would have 7 delegates in it.
B. One delegate would be “over” the 25.
C. The purpose of this arrangement would be to make the task of telegramming delegates easier.
D. These would be elected by members to one month terms.
3. Members would send in any proposals they have submitted to
the UN to the top delegate.
A. He would send it to the 25 “under” him.
B. They would send it to the 7 each under them.
C. These 151 would approve the proposal.
4. The delegates by entering the alliance, agree to approve the
proposal in an unbiased manner.
A. Any proposal would be accepted to be sent to these delegates.
B. Stupid or ridiculous proposals would be rejected.
C. Liberal proposals such as “Abortion Rights” would be rejected.
D. If delegates simply felt that they could not approve it in good conscience, they would not have to.
5. This organization’s goals are:
A. To get member proposals to vote in the UN.
B. To get conservative resolutions passed.
C. To fight liberal resolutions that hurt our world.
I would greatly apprecaite feedback, since I wish for this organization to work democratically, and for all members to be able to cooperate to success.

Well said. There is a desperate need for all nations with more conservative and pragmatic attitudes to somehow stop idiotically idealistic proposals like this ever achieving fruition. (Note that Conservative does not mean Right-Wing.)

If we are able to complete this I would like to join. But I have a feeling they wont allow this. But please keep me informed on the progress.

How does 7 times 25 equal 151? :?
Randomocitia

25 times 7 equals 150 plus 1 more delegate.
If you are interested in joining, I am now making a list of members. Please e-mail me at: jpthecoolguy@bellsouth.net
