I am a firm believer in the RL UN and the NS UN, both, of which require reform. However, since our the NS UN is in question here, I'd like to bring up the current state of UN proposals.
Let me just list a few:
Abortion Ban
Human Right to Life
Limiting UN Power
Establishment of Interpol
Is Gay Marriage Right?
Ban Abortion Act
Stop a Woman's Right to Kill
Let's All Get Pissed
Democratization of the UN
See the pattern? They're all illegal UN proposals for this game. Abortion Rights was just passed, therefore, all the abortion appeals are illegal. Others are for game mechanics, such as Limiting UN Power, and Establishment of Interpol brings RL concepts into the NS UN.
My favorite on though, Is Gay Marriage Right?, simple asks the question; it doesn't propose ANYTHING.
Get my drift?
Everyone bitches and complains about the NS UN, and the reason is because the quality of proposals is less than none. Perhaps, if stricter guidelines were in place for the quality of proposals, or perhaps, if more people took the UN seriously, then, this wouldn't be a problem.
Besides, if people just read the rules about submitting proposals, I wouldn't be getting so angry about this now.
