Simply Fair- Universal Equality of Justices

I bring forth to you a proposal, so simple in it's being I am surprised it has not been sited long before. Glinde Nessroe's Universal Equality of Justices proposal in short simply wants to remove this ideal that any person of high status in society has this unwritten right to "get off easy". This is not justice. Here is a shortened version of the proposal:

"The proposal insights there shall be no tolerance, lenience or exemption of just force applied towards any one person(s) in the cases of illegal activities. This proposal is in regards to the unacceptable justification of illegal actions/courts bias towards ones case by means of defendants status and previous social honour."

To view the full details please visit it in the UN Proposals list under the name of "Universal Equality of Justices". Fair is fair and the celebrity that steals from a shop or the priests who sexually harrasses a child has no right to some bi-law allowing them to escape the system. Please show your sence of justice and approve this proposal.

Thank you.

From the ever growing country of Glinde Nessroe, Truth belies not just our nation of magic.

Insanica almost hates to point this out but wouldn't this ruin dictatorships utterly. Also we would like to point out that, assuming the proposal is worded as it is worded in the post here, any exemption would be considered illegal. Like a cop giving someone a warning. Or a stay of execution. Please feel free to correct us if we have said something wrong, idotic, or morally detestable.

No you're right. Although the proposal does say the type of thing it wants to attack, the part that could be considered the operative clause does not limit itself to persons of high social standing.

Which means, as Insainica points out, we have problems with warnings and stays of executions. We also prevent courts from taking context into account - e.g. if it was necessary to commit a non-violent crime in order to prevent a murder or something, the court would still be forced to punish the person who carried out the minor crime.

The delegateship of Spiffydom is in full support of this proposal at least, as a nation, and has been working hard to let other delegateships knows that this proposal exists.

Equal justices to all!

Sincerely,

The Council of Enn supports the idea behind this proposal, but cannot support the current wording.
