AUSTICA IS LEAVING THE UN IN PROTEST

Austica

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF AUSTICA

The Parliament of the Kingdom of Austica has today voted to leave the United Nations in protest of its socialist-imperialistic ways.

This nation is legally allowed to repeal laws and will do so,m whether a member of the UN or not. No organisation will tell us how we can run our nation. Despite this, we wish not to argue with these nations everytime, the UN process is hijacked by socialists, who want to conquer the world.

We are therefore leaving the United Nations and encourage all conservative and like minded nations who objected to the policy of a 40hr work week to leave the United Nations.

If this is your concern, then I would advise you stay with the UN. The UN's principles are just as opposed to nations conquering the world as Austica is.

You know, if you want conservative laws passed, then you should get conservative people to join the UN and get liberals to leave.

But I'm never leaving, although I was thinking about leaving if the 40 hr work week was overturned, because that means that the conservative crackpots were taking over the UN. I thank the "yes-men" who vote yes to every proposal without reading it, but I'd be deeply sorrowed if the "yes-men" did such to conservative laws and they passed.

do none of you think about the consequences such a resolution would mean? yes in your pretty little worlds making sure slaves arent worked for more than 8 hours a day in sweat shops is perfectly acceptable.

Yet what about weak nations, working class people, that NEED to work more than 8 hours a day in order to survive? Do you not think.

There are people on Gazzerville that simply cannot with such a resolution, and day by day we are being FORCED to police such a ludicrous resolution, people do not want to be told how much they can work, they need freedom.

THIS LAW IS NOT LIBERAL - Liberal would imply giving your people more choice, it is AUTHORITARIAN, you do not think about your people, you think about yourselves and what you think is right - but it is wrong.

"You know, if you want conservative laws passed, then you should get conservative people to join the UN and get liberals to leave"
That was not a liberal resolution: it was the opposite.
True liberals are in favour of a free economy and against regulations.
In the US the word liberal is often used when the appropiate word would be SOCIALIST. Therefore the political vocabulary in the US often differs with most of the rest of the world. They would see the resolution as it is: Socialist and anti-liberal.

More power to you! I agree, the UN is hijacked by socialists and I hope McCarthy goes medaeval on the nation that proposed the 40 hour workweek. However, as far as I can tell, the UN is the only form of competition in this game so unless I commit another unforgivable transgression like writing a proposal to repeal a resolution, Levex is here to stay.

@honourable representative of Austica

we regret seeing you leaving the UN. We respect your decision. However we are sad since it increases even more the dominance of socialist nations in the UN.
We pay our respect to your nation and we wish you the best for your further development without anymore obstacles by UN resolutions.

Sincerely yours

Again our nation fails to see the logic in any of your actions. There are ways around the 40hour work week. If you need to work less, than say you are in work, but just don't get paid. If you need more, call it volunteering and your payments gifts. You people, all of you people, clutter yourselves with pointless problems such as this. This is but a crack in the canyon known as "Civilization."

The 40 hour wpork week (and even less in some areas) has been part of Western capitialist economies for decades, why want it changed?
It is a non-issue in the West.

Kitsune Island hereby declares its support of the Government of Austica and its cause. The United Nations has become imperialistic, trying to govern over all nations by making the same decisions that the nations themselves should be left to, deciding for everyone and leaving out hundreds or thousands of nations against the issues proposed and passed.

We hereby also propose that the UN be restricted to such matters as worldwide human civil rights and international standardization codes...things with relatively little controversial impact as abortion and "gay marriage" have caused, but which do hold important impact on the entire World.

Kitsune Island plans to remain in the United Nations to continue its protest against socialistic ruling, at least until it is kicked out by some overzealous beurocrats wishing to further restirct control.
