To my fellow capitalists and proponents of freedom and human rights, I ask, what good is a government that cannot rectify its past follies? The way I see it, such a government has no advantage over anarchy, pure and simple. But yet, that is exactly how our UN works today. We must do all we can to change this, not just for ourselves but for the good of all Nationstates players. Therefore, I plead, on my knees before you, that you will support my proposal in the Technical Forum championing this very ideal.
My proposal in the Technical Forum reads:
Since the fateful passing of the last UN resolution, a deluge of bitter posts has flowed into the UN forum. From what I can tell, it is generally the strong sentiment among Nationstates players now, as it has been for some for a long time, that there needs to be some sort of method for repealing past follies that, upon later reflection, players realize the grave consequences of allowing to pass. In fact, this feeling was so strong that I think I can safely say I speak for the majority of Nationstates players when I say please, create a system for repealing old resolutions!
Perhaps it could be a system where a proposal to repeal an old resolution must contain a counterplan that could simply be put in place instead of the current resolution. I admit I know nothing of how to organize such a thing, but it certainly does not seem so farfetched, does it?
