From the main screen (where it lists your nation, your flag, and the text summary of your nation), click on the United Nations tab in the frame. There should be a button on that page that says resign. Click, and your bonds are broken.

I'm quitting the UN until they stop spewing these disgustingly vague an economically damaging green resolutions.

Looks like we won't be expecting you back any time soon. The odds of the UN ceasing its spewing of vague green resolutions are roughly the same of me vowing to never be sarcastic in the forums again. Ever.

Okay, okay. I lied. Aside from the whole sarcasm thing, there is one way to end tidal wave of really, really bad environmental resolutions.
Get this.
If you organize the non-environmentalist UN members you too can manipulate international law for your own good! All you have to do is find 250-some delegates who love their economies more than their children, then get them to sign off on a resolution. The sheep will pass it if you use big words.

I don't think that they UN has a strick enough way for making resolutions. They need to has some kind of congress (or do they already?) so they can agree that these proposals are good. I was reading some of the resolutions that have already been implimented and it did not make me want to join the UN reading the kinds of things that are becoming "laws." I don't want to have these very stupid laws to be a part of my nation!

The UN is it's own governing body it is up to the majority whether the resolution is good or bad.
It's up to you to decide whether it is a good thing or a bad thing.

OK. My tiny nation just joined the UN. Can anyone give me examples of the issues that either hurt the enviroment or destroy civil rights :?:

Minas, you might want to check the gameplay forum for that kind of information. They have a series of stickies that contain the information you're looking for.

I don't know about that. The UN is at least entertaining sometimes, which is more than a lot of other useless things can say. For example, how useful is a single grain of salt? Or dead skin? Or Fox News? And none of those things are entertaining!
Sincerely yours,
