JOKE PROPOSAL?!?!?!?! I AM INSULTED!!!

You are hereby warned for submitting the joke proposal "Free Lunch". This is your second warning regarding UN proposals. The submission of a third bad proposal will result in your permanent ejection from the United Nations. Read the rules regarding UN proposals before submitting another proposal. If you're still not sure if a proposal is legal, then post it as a topic on the "United Nations" board of the NationStates.net forums and ask for opinions. --The Modified Democratic States of Cogitation
My "Free Lunch" proposal was anything but a joke. I truly wanted to help the starving people of NationStates. I tried to use "free lunch" as an interesting, innovative, and eye-catching way to gain support for the hungry masses. If being part of the United Nations means I can't express my opinion to an open forum then eject me right now. I write this as a warning to those who want to be creative in their proposals, do not stray far from the "straight and narrow", lest you be threatened by the UN Secret Police.

That is particularly peculiar, given that your proposal had a topic, and the current resolution being voted on does not specify what it will do if passed.
> > > PANIQUE de DON'T ! < < <
( I wonder if any one got the referance, should have dropped in a 42 ... Or just put it in English, ... )
Ahem,
Okay, calm down, there are no secret police, unless your meaning by that the Moderation Staff.
:D
Joke, ! Now, what seems to be the problem is,
1) You've put in a proposal.
2) It was rejected by Moderation Staff.
3) You were warned.
4) For what-ever reason, you've put it in again.
5) Rinse and repeat with step 2 and 3 .
Okay, now, what seems to have happened is a break down in communication, now, there is no reason to toss your hat down and stomp on it in anger, let me make a few suggestions first.
You invite a moderator to comment on why the proposal was rejected, here, in open view, for public record. Then you could also post up the proposal here. We could then see both points of view, and make up our minds.
While we cannot change the Moderation Staff mind-set, most likely, then we can at least provide through the above steps, the possibility of public support and suggestion for any changes the proposal may need.
Now, if that is all good and well, maybe we can all calm down and see what can be done about this troublesome situation.

I agree. The rant isn't very strong without the actual proposal.

I have hereby scrapped the "Free Lunch" proposal and opted to propose an Food Bank instead. If you would like to support it it is under "NS Food Bank" on the proposals page

This has made a lot of people angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."

I would have understood what you said, Komokom, if I'd had my Babel Fish.

That does seem a little harsh. I remember when Enodia upped the offences for violation of the rules on UN resolutions and he specifically said that jokey proposals wouldn't be at risk unless they were either totally clapped-out jokes ("the right to arm bears") or utterly irrelevant to the UN:

Does this mean that moderation policy's changed now Enodia's gone?

I guess so, East Hackney.
Also, for the regular in-game scenarios, I get even wackier choices than this this proposal (such as making immigrants run through a deadly obstical course and televising it as a game show), so I don't see what the big deal is.

Did someone actually enter that as a resolution? I almost bought a T-Shirt that said somthing along those lines(support your right to arm bears)!
Actually, on that note, East Hackney and Bootai-Bootai, I did slip into one of my moderation posts as to when/what will be done about regarding Enodia's semi-official duties to the U.N. but so far I only have silence ... I guess its a case of,
Moderation Moves in Mysterious Ways.

I believe that that's a daily issue and not a UN proposal. The issues are far less serious than UN proposals.
Anyhow, Our Own Laziness, if you really want a moderator's reason, you should post in the Moderation forum and a mod will answer your questions for you. I also have a question for you. When you resubmitted this proposal as the NS Food Bank, did you change it? For all you know, the proposal may have been deleted because of what it contained and not because of the title.
I would seriously consider posting in Moderation before you speculate any further.
Just some advice! :D
