I'm new but a friend of mine says the region looks weak if the founder isnt the regional elegate. Is this true is isn't it weird if another person is the RD. Please help since i'm new at all this.
:(
Right.
A friendly help service from The Rep of komokom :
1) The friend of yours does not know what they are talking about.
2) The Educational bit :
The U.N. Deleagte can be the founder. And also, they need not be.
Why ? Well ...
The Delegate is selected as being the U.N. member in the region with the highest level of other U.N. member endorsements, all of whom must also inhabit the same region as the delegate. Now, if the founder is U.N. member, then there is the possibility they will ask people who move into the region to endorse them so they become delegate.
How-ever, some delegates shrug, and say "Eh, ( = shrug ), its up for grabs, just play nice." Which is fine.
Now, some founders want the well, questionable, power of being delegate for politiking in the U.N. Forum and their region, but others leave it open for who ever is deemed best.
It all depends on how you, the founder, want it to be done.
And by the by, if your judging a region by U.N. Delegate alone then your just not paying attention to all the other factors ... :)
WORD OF WARNING :
In your region settings control, be cautious about letting the "U.N. Delegate Access" button be ticked, this lets the delegate (Who may not be you after all) to change pass-word, kick people out, etc, etc, etc, just as you, the founder, can. Its a good idea to be able to trust your delegate before you let it e ticked, just my opinion, as I am a security nut,
I hope that helps, as suggested by The MU Continent, check the F.A.Q. and also maybe look in at the stickies, both here in the U.N. Forum, and Moderation Forum, and any others which take your fancy. :D
