Iova, Lindim: May 4, 2004
Arthur Windfor- Today the government made a press release today, confirming the recent death of Yuni Hu as an assassination. Yuni Hu was Lindim's outspoken Ambassador to the UN who frequently disagreed, but nontheless carried out Lindim's policies. She was also a confirmed alcoholic. The assassination came today just before Hu was to propose a sweeping clarification and redressing of UN's powers and policies, the "World Body Act." The "World Body Act" has now been split into two seperate proposals, the first part to be submitted tomorrow out of respect for Hu.
Socialist protestors stormed the capitol, claiming her death was orchestrated by the capitaliztic government who couldn't let a avowed socialist represent them in the UN. The government denies this is so, but did not comment on yesterday's mysterious death of another Lindim ambassador, Amergo Opp, who represented the South Pacific region to the West Pacific. Opp has been replaced by Laeh Tikiti, a former member of Lindim's UN delegation, and a staunch capitalizt. There has been no word on Hu's replacement.
((OOC: Okay, this was done to postpone the submission of my act, again. Also, because I was contacted by a few nations, and we are planning a rather interesting RP event. I don't know what they are doing with it, but apparently it is bad for Lindim, and good for them. Ah, well. If they want to declare war, I have the South and West Pacifics to help me.))
