Unfortunately, I don't have UN delegate status, as I come from a small, newer region where I am the only UN member, but in light of the resolution currently at vote in the UN, I would wholly support this.

Giving rights to already cloned individuals is one thing, giving a blanket endorsement for this very problematic science is another.

If, in the event I do get delegate status soon, I will support you.

Cloning is a excellent way of keeping genetically connected diseases down. Of course, the cloning must be exercised carefully, so no super-diseases are cloned into existence.

I think you mean genetic engineering. Cloning is the act of creating a new organism with the genetic material of an already existing organism.

Why should we ban cloning?

Cloning must not be banned. Humanity has finally found an secondary method for the proliferation of the species. Research in this field has also led to genetic engineering. One day cloning and genetic engineering can save the human race from extinction. We must increase funding in cloning research, genetic engineering, and the development of artificial wombs.

We must think of the species. Science has given us another method for our species to reproduce. We must take advantage of it.

The Commonwealth supports this resolution and has alerted the region. Our Attorney General has given me legal advice that this resolution pertains to the act of the cloning, and the repeal of resolutions pertaining to this will not affect the rights of those already cloned.

The Commonwealth supports the resolution on this basis; depending on the current vote in the chamber, the Commonwealth believes it would be inappropriate to take away rights which have just been granted.
