Category: Environmental Industry Affected: All Businesses Proposed by: Terrorismz

Description: As time seems to go by slowly, we really dont have many years left before the earth becomes uninhabitable. The time has come to create a colony on Mars, where all members of the earth will go once earth becomes uninhabitable. VOTE FOR THIS PROPOSAL TO PLAN A MISSION TO MARS, MAKING YOUR PEOPLE PART OF THE CREW, AND GUARANTEEING A LARGE PART OF MARS. This mission will also include a trip to saturn, to explore the ring of gas, which could possibly be used as an alternate supply to our fossil fuels, which are soon going to be expended.

VOTE NOW TO ENSURE A SAFE FUTURE FOR YOUR NATION!

Hopefully, "your people" for the first trip means just a group of astronauts; I'm not sure if boatloads of civilians should be sent to a not very well-explored planet to immediately live on.

Otherwise, I'm torn. An international space trip, with costs split among nations, would economically be the best way to do it and foster some cooperation, but is it the highest priority?

Are you going to terraform? Otherwise the habitlaibility will not greatly be improved by this venture.

We are all for the exploration of space, but not in the way you put. We should explore because we want to get more understanding and knowledge of space.
If we can terraform the planet, then I think our technology is far beyond just to get to the planet. If we are going to Mars only to try and terraform it, it will be a pointless project. The goal should not be to terraform it, the goal should be to explore it, get sme useful data, and then try and get further. Terraforming is a long and hard process, which we can only consider in the far future.

Wouldn't colonizing mars just give us a good excuse to trash the earth?

How does colonizing Mars fall under the catagory of saving the enviroment?

Seeing how Rome has started their space program this year, we would gladly help.

The Emperor has already sent a boatload of citizens to Smaptania, who arrived last month and are already hard at work fortifying the planet and building a giant laser death ray atop Mons Olympus.

Bring it on, y'all.
