Why are there resolutions with spelling errors?

Do you have any idea how stupid the UN looks by allowing the passage of resolutions with spelling errors?
<Shrugs>
That's why I'd prefer it if people put their proposals on here for consideration by the UN
Resolutions have spelling errors for one of 3 reasons:
1. The author of the resolution simply doesn't know the correct spelling.
2. The resolution was typed and submitted without being proof-read in any way (or proof-read sufficiently to pick up the error).
3. English is not the first language of the author.
I agree that the first two make things seem a little "stupider" at times, but that's the way the game works. If I could fix up typos in proposals, I would.

Try taking a proposal, putting it into Korean on babelfish, then Spanish, then English again. The result is hilarious...
And it also makes us sympathetic with proponents who speak little English.

As long as we can understand the gist of the matter, spelling errors or grammer mistakes should be ignored. Lets not be so anal that we take the power and fun away from non english nationals.
