UN Religious Non-Interference Proposal

Brazakastan
12-04-2004, 15:26
At 10:30 AM EST on April 12, 2004 the Confederacy of Brazakastan posted a proposal requesting that the UN should remove its hands from all matters of religion. As the separation of church and states is recognized by the UN, it has occurred to us in the Absolutional Alliance that the UN should begin to act in a way according to its principles. Accordingly this proposal was written and posted. Feel free to share your thoughts on the issue here. Feel even more free to approve the proposal.
Thank you.

It would help to givea summary here for our convenience.

while agreeing in principle, we are concerned that this proposal not permit intrusive regulation such as the banning of religious headgear in public places.

We, being a theocracy, have an interest in these matters. If you could link to the proposal, or provide a summary... it would be greatly appreciated.

We must oppose. We are a Theocracy, and you have a provision in this proposal to force "Seperation of Church and State".... our church and state are one.

If you would remove that , we would support it

While individual theocracies my choose to eliminate the delineation between church and state, the very principle of soverignty requires that the UN, as a matter of basic principle, protect all nations from interference with respect to their exercise of faith, or lack thereof.
