U.N. resolutions
I am seeking endorsements to present a proposal to simplify the U.N.'s system of tracking resolutions; that all resolutions be numbered for quicker reference (i.e. )Resolution#1,"Fight the Axis of Evil",states, "U.N. members must act swiftly in the intrest of peace". Whereas,Resolution#55,"Rights and Duties of U.N. States", article 5: states," War in the World of nation states is defined as a consensual act between two or more NationStates. Any and all NationStates may, at their discretion, respond to declarations of war on NationStates who wish to avoid war". Although this may not be the best example of resolutions at variance,I believe it serves the point.

Please check with the UN Mods first, before submitting any real proposal, because this sounds like a game mechanics issue.
I voted in favour of a numbering system, for the simple reason that when we reference old resolutions it would be much easier to find: 2004 - 4 than it would to search through the entire database for whatever the fourth resolution from 2004 is. It also would allow the archive to be a bit more intelligent.
But again, this *is* a game mechanics issue -- and might be something already planned for NationStates v2.0.
[OOC: The real UN uses a numbering system based on the session of the GA and then on each resolution's position on the agenda.]

This looks like extra work for some (unpaid) somebody.
I feel that this is something that should happen, but in all probability won't. At least until the change in servers is done.
Or NS2 comes about, which would be the first time I would seriously consider a credit card, sigh...
