Everyone vote AGAINST the resolution at hand!
The important part (the notable parts of this excerpt are capitalized):

The NationStates United Nations shall form the United Nations Educational Committee, or UNEC, which shall resolve all of these problems in OUR NATION'S educational systems by providing funding to these systems, so they may repair unsafe schools, purchase security systems to protect OUR students from harm, provide extra-curricular activities to help OUR children's mental and physical state of being, provide them with healthier school lunches, provide a better learning environment for OUR children by training teachers and purchasing more up-to-date materials for the students, and overall ensuring the world's future to be a prosperous one.

They say to provide funding for "our nation's systems." This (very possibly and probably) could be a typo, or a mistake in the wording, but until this mistake is fixed, my vote is AGAINST this resolution. If passed, technically, all UN nations are to provide funding to this one nation's systems. Although they probably didn't mean that, its possible, and that's the effect that it would have. Mistake or clever wording, my vote is against until it is re-submitted (if at all possible), because the possibility, even the smallest, of Muordoa, and the other UN delegates/nations of the world, having to pay for one nation's problem is outrageous. Besides, not everyone's educational facilities/activities/systems are flawed or inefficient, so those nations with a good education system would still have to pay for the bad systems of others.

Interresting point you are making there. Although I doubt that was what the creator of this resolution meant, I would still like to hear that from them.

Until that time, Korjevia too will (at least temporarily) withdraw its vote

Maybe we should propose and issue that will dictate what kind of school system individual nations will have. I noticed on the game it's all government funded schools. Some nations might favor a private school system over the public school system. Plus it would help the economy of the nation by creating more jobs, getting rid of taxes that finance public schools, and having an overall smarter populace.

I agree with Leprechauns...
But I still think the proasal should pass because we need at least a short term solution to our education problem

What if your education system is fine and effective? This resoltion asks that ALL UN nations provide funding for better educational systems, because they are not good enough. But what about the nations with good educational systems? They have to pay as well, while they draw no benefit from the whole deal.

:?: How would having a private system instead of a public system create jobs? if it did create jobs, wouldn't they be mostly jobs in management at the various private institutions? If they are, how does that make the system less expensive?

It would appear to create more overhead, not less, and add very little to actual education.
