I see not why the UN has a right to interfere in education. Vote no to this issue and stop letting them waist their money on countries too dumb to have sponsored their own education system. Vote NO on this issue.

The Island of Techopolis works and speaks as a whole. We have spoken.

ummm... helping sponsoring them is the idea into helping them re/develop their ideals and standards within society. helping them grow smarter can benefit the world in ways some people either cannot imagine or underestimate.

you need to put more thought into your views more often or we will just think you are dumb as it is.

Zortroth, here's a peek into the future when this resolution passes.

UNEC: "We the UNEC find ZORTROTH lacking in areas of free thinking by not allowing scholarships for poetry and Zen art. It's food is not up to standard as [uber high-tech nation] and it's teaching methods are still in the twenty-first centery. After all, All [Uber High-Tech Nations] are currently incorporating nano-technology in educating it's students. so to meet the minimum standards, you must allow student to get Cybernetic implants to proplerly interface with all teaching programs. the cost will be discounted. However, since funding is all voluntary, you will only receive 50 thousand [local currency] and we are aware that will only implant 48,000 students in your nation. I'm sure that you will find the resources to pay for implants for the rest. Providing every student with the chance to learn properly."

After all, the standards will be comprised of all UN nations, funding by donations, being watched over by all students. and no where does it state in the resolution that the aid is voluntary.

YOU WILL BE ASSIMULATED... RESISTANCE IS NOT ONLY FUTILE, BUT AGAINST THE LAW!

how the bloody hell would you know about anything to do with my empire ey? your reply stands invalid as you have no idea of the power Zortroth beholds, we infact do not rely on the UN to see how we are to function as we actually come from another galaxy altogether.

resistance is not futile and it is not against the law. its funny how you can shame yourself like that.

dont you dare say anything about my empire unless you know indepth information about us which infact you know hardly anything. besides, Zortroth doesnt need support from the UN but it likes to see it help other nations are are infact in need.

get out of my way and dont attempt to downgrade an empire you have no understanding of at all ever again.

Apologies... It was never my intent to put down any nation.

This was a warning because already one proposal almost made it to resolution and that would have forced ALL NATIONS, even NON-UN Members to comply No matter where they were. The histroy of the UN shows that people will vote everything into law. Should this trend continue... it won't matter where you are... the UN will gun for all nations unless we place sense and order back at the helm.

There is no process to repeal faulty resolutions... even nice and benefitial ones can be harmful if not examined carefully. Therefore this habit of voting everything into law must stop. Everyone on the forum asks the same question. Why wasn't this proposal brought up for people to examine. Is it because the author knew that if it was sugar-coated, the nations (whomever they are) will support it to resolution and thus pass it.

Hersford, the author of the resolution, admits it's got flaws. yet refuses to pull it out. If this trend continues, the UN will be gunning for everyone to be under its total control. And that will cause a war that will spread across the galaxy to affect even you.

Again this is a warning of things to come if the UN continues on this path. It has never been my intention to insult you and I do apologize if that has occurred.

well if you put it that way, its acceptable, but i just got a little annoyed on how someone wont show support to help other nations into help develop their society and economy and categorise them as "dumb". logically it REALLY shows their open-minded support for such places that do need our help (note sarcasm if you didnt realise :P )

I know you didnt mean to cause offence, but i just dont like it when people display content if they meant it or not of any type of negativity towards my empire, simply i just dont like to be downgraded in any way or for and im sure noone else likes it neither.

come to think of it, the cybernetic chip doesnt sound like a bad idea, but it will require some research and thinking. original possibly-potential insult not taken. Friends again? :P

I and my region also likes to help others. however this resolution is too vague and the typos places all the money and power with Hersford. Because Hersford did not submit the proposal in the forums... no one could point out any mistakes nor could they voice opinions and concerns.

My using you as an example was only to get your attention (which it obviously did) and show what might happen if a poorly written resolution passes.

Yep still friends... after all we can butt heads over ideals on-line... as long as the weapons stay off-line.

The UN is an ineffectual bureaucracy incapable of solving their own local problem, let alone a complex issue such as education. Their administrators sit at the circular table, handing each other paperwork all day long, then at the end of day nothing was ever accomplished. Must we add the Government Schools/Youth Propaganda Camps to the list of their failures?

Actually, education, or rather a distinct lack thereof by a large portion of its membership, is indeed the U.N.'s problem.

I have already voted against the current resolution, however.
