Voluntary military service is an issue in many countries,in some of course it is compulsory, in others it is a choice of individual freedom.

And why, pray tell, should the UN settle what appears to be a purely domestic issue when the member nations seem perfectly capable of deciding the issue themselves to the satisfaction of all?

I detest nation building, but unfortunately we are heading towards one large governmental body eg NATO- it will trickle down.

As I read that, "Santin, you should support this proposal because these other proposals which you more than likely voted against got passed." I'm not impressed by an attempt to justify bad proposals using bad resolutions. Further, I think you might be hard pressed to find an issue more directly global in scope than the environment.

National military service comp. drafting / other mili stuff is handled in initial nation creation. Plus individual mili's and their make up are pure domestic issue.
