Ok, this is my first time posting on these forums, and my first UN proposal, however, I would like to broadcast it to fellow UN members who cannot find my proposition on the list. I hope to encourage UN delegates to support my proposition by putting it here, making it easier for them to access. Also, I post here to inform UN members to tell their regional delegaets about this proposal in an attempt to gain support.
The proposal is as follows:

Satellite Security System

Description: In order to further the security of fellow UN Members, it is neccessary to take to the sky. This proposal contains the following points:

1. A system of high-speed comunication provided by satellites so that counrties may communicate instantly in an emergency.

2. A smart-satellite possessing a precision laser to destroy large missles aimed at UN members.

3. A network of integrated satellites that would be able to relay messages between allied forces in case of an attack from an enemy.

This proposal would help secure our nations from an attack, allowing us to prosper and become more powerful. We UN members would be the envy of the world with our supreme, advanced, futuristic Satellite Security System.

Thank you for your time.

We could agree to items 1 and 3, but item 2 is too open to abuse. We would be anxious about our own satellites and space vehicles every time one of our own representatives was not observing the operations center for the laser weapon.

Yes, number two is too vague and allows for a nation to join the UN and use this method to descimate other UN members.

Tuesday Heights will not support it.

I agree that number 2 does not seem to be the strong point of this proposal. However, that can be important and the other two points are crucial in today's world. However, I think that Seewoknip means for the satellite mentioned in point #2 to be a UN controlle satellite. This means that everyone UN nation will not have its own satellite, but rather share a satellite to protect the UN members from attack from dangerous missles. However, Seewoknip must verify that, for that has not been specified.

I agree with Marksmanville. Clarify the argument of item two.

I am sorry, it was my mistake for not clarifying the detail of ownership of the satellite mentioned in Statement #2 of my proposition.
I think that it would be wise for the satellite to be UN controlled in order to keep it from being abused in anyway by one single nation. The satellite will be able to protect all UN members, and will not be exploited to attack a non-UN member who has a disagreement with a single/couple UN member(s).

I apologize for not clarifying the facts on the issue.
