Go approve this resolution for an international day of rest in the name of democracy. Your people will thank you greatly for your caring and thoughtfulness to their good health and being. Let us discuss it as well.

If I was a delegate, I'd vote for this 3 timesif I could. It is probably the greatest proposal ever :!:

If I was a U.N. delegate (which I am) I would certaintly NOT vote for this idea. Since recently the U.N. has received many posts that either pertain to nothing at all or just don't follow the rules, I think that the U.N. has been on a vacation for quite a long time. I mean it's been a while since we have voted for a resolution. I'm not trying to be a party pooper, but I think this is an idea that would waste more time and I think this is a post that is cluttering up the forum. I hope Komokom finishes you.

I'm not trying to be a party pooper...

Yes you are.

this is an idea that would waste more time

How, it takes a fraction of a second to vote for or against something, and there will be a new resolution within a week. If you're so concerned about wasting your time, why do you even play the game?

I think this is a post that is cluttering up the forum.

You're a fool if you think 1 thread is cluttering up the forum. Besides, this is a relavent thread regarding a UN proposal. Thus the name of this forum "The United Nations."

I hope Komokom finishes you.

Too late. I already finished Komokom :)

The armed forces of Tzeneth does not like this proposal because of the fact that it gives my people too much freedom in some countries the government does not wish for the people to have too much freedom and this works against them and undermines their plan for a better world for them and only them. These countries wish to have power through dictatorship and wish for little freedom for the people of their countries.

I don't like it... should be a week of rest, in the name of... to make it more UN oriented: International Friendship.

International Friendship Week: All UN nations are free to celebrate however they choose. The only rules are:
1 School/ All work excluding those bad jobs that make you come in on Xmas shall be canceled for the entire 7-day celebration
2 Festivities must include parties, carnival rides, parades, and fireworks (not to mention as much free food as possible)
3 Party poopers will be imprisoned for violating the inaliable right to the pursuit of happiness

You people suck. You don't even know what you want, so why don't you just agree with me and be done with it? That's what I would do if I were you

Xha'dam would like to remind Newmanity that nations exist in the UN who are not democracies and thus them celebrating it would be rather pointless.

Were we a part of the UN, we'd support this proposal, but being in the UN requires work... and so does supporting the proposal... In fact, your proposal suggests that people work so that others can reap the benefits of not working due to the work you did for them to not have to work. And that's bad, perhaps even bad like a moose. I don't like mooses, they bite, and getting bitten hurts, almost as much as being shot which is why I stay home most of the time, that is because my neighbors have mice. But anyway, I think this proposal is doomed to failure, like pants, because some days it's just too hard to pull them up, and then your in your underpants, unless you don't have them in which case you wear tradition. Speaking of tradition, we believe that work is something to avoid at all costs in the Erisian Alliance, that and our government should do nothing... ever. So, in closing, take a day off, don't vote for a week to have yesterday off.

You think we'd trust banks with anything? We have No Banks Holiday instead.
