It has come to our attention that a recent extermination program has been started by those maniacs at the Plateau of Leng.

Just because a few tourist get eaten by these mostly harmless but beneficial creatures, they are being wipe out of their natural habitat (on Earth anyway). If action is not taken against poachers and rogue countries, then the Earth species of the Shoggoth will vanish forever. The Shoggoth need s to be retransplanted into their natural habitats, and imported into more Earth nations, and laws enacted making the killing of a Shoggoth illegal! SAVE THE SHOGGOTH!!!

Current research suggests that Shoggoth farms are really a gathering point for the poor captured beasts. One cannot "farm" Shoggoth's as they take more than 100 years, and several human sacrifices to breed effectively. At the current rate of extermination by the evil exterminators of Leng, the Shoggoth will be extinct on Earth within the next decade. On a side note, for those nations wishing to import Shoggoth's, we find they do a wonderful job keeping the streets clean. Turn a few loose on your more homeless infested streets, and with a few weeks your homeless problem has simply vanished, miraculous! no more night time muggings or noisy street parties. They do a wonderful job somehow....
