09-03-2004, 18:50
For too long nations and regions expressing freedom of thought have been supressed, in particualr religious Islamic States, as terrorists and violent nations, when they are meerly acting in the interests of their people. Those who have the will and life of Allah!! Allah!! Shalalalalalbi!! then I ask you to support our motion.

We can not control thought.

We can punish actions.

The Grand Duchy of Laio is opposed to all terrorists... no matter what their misguided cause. Those false-believers that murder in the name of god... are the worse.

His Holiness Pope Liam, Pontiff of the Church of Psychedelics and Founder of Shambhala has little interest in religions outside of Psychotropics.... although the Church of Sinister Footwork is a slight problem. You may worship as you please... just don't expect Psychotropics to help you in anyway with your religion. We vote no.

1) Sorry, what does this have to do with anything? , Seems to me we're single-ing out one religion and supporting it, which... hell, I think regular readers know what I am gonna say next... :?

2) Did I mention I am athiest, and as such do not care a hoot about your religion, yes I think you've got a right to practice it, just don't shove it down my throat, or else, thats all I am saying.

Then again its all I usually say on religion, which is summed up as:

"Do it, just don't talk at me about it" :)

3) HAARP, musical instrument, right?

The ever reasonable but somewhat perplexed nation of Berkylvania doesn't see where the speaker addressed your nation specifically. We of Berkylvania believe in religious freedom free of opression for all faiths. However, if misguided members of abridge or interfere with the rights of others OR if that faith condones unconcionable acts of violence against non-adherants, then steps will have to be taken, either to aprehend the heretics or dismantle the faith, depending on the situation.

While we support a united right to religious freedom of expression we denounce terrorisim in all it's forms and seek a peaceful, yet decisive and permanent, erradication of it.

My remarks should only be offensive to those that commit terror, violence and murder... in the name of their particular tribal god.

Did it offend you... ?

Your remarks are against religion and freedom of thought. You tred a thin line. Allah!! Allah!!

Your remarks are against religion and freedom of thought. You tred a thin line. Allah!! Allah!!

The slightly placating but mostly confused nation of Berkylvania does not understand how the representative from Al Zabir has confused the issue. Should a religion endorse the wholesale slaughter of innocent peoples outside (or indeed, inside) their faith for some supposed "glory", then steps will have to be taken to either change that religion's dogma or remove it from the picture. Religious freedom is an important right, but if the expression of that freedom involves mass murder, then certainly the perpetrators of that action are criminals and, like it or not, the whole faith is suspect until it produces conclusive proof that not only does it not support such heinous actions, but actively seeks to combat them through education and religious counciling.

In essence, don't support terrorists and there shouldn't be any problem. Support them and don't expect a magical "shield of faith" to protect you from agressive actions on the part of affected nations (although we of Berkylvania, being essentially a peace-loving nation, do not relish the prospect of any sort of violent conflict occuring).

The dignitary for Al Zabir has avoid answering the question.

Does your nation support terrorism, violence and murder in the name of Allah?

Are you a supporter of a Islamic Jihad movemnt?

The Grand Duchy of Laio is proud to proclaim that it renounce the use of terror, violence and murder... for religious and political purposes.
