Hey could people vote for this bill. It is still a proposal. There are many poor people out in the world. We need something to help them. We should give them free food. This is only for people who apply for Welfare. Although it will take some money out of government, it will make the poor able to spend money on other important things to get them out of Welfare. So your Welfare program will have a Free Food program attached to it.

Let poor Bill feed himself.

So how do you propose to certify eligibility?
What about governments like Ethiopia that appropriate the given food and sell it for weapons?
Who pays, and how?
How do you get your food, surplus or open market?

We can have governemnt farmers make the food. If you are in Welfare or make less then $10 per week you are eligibilable. We could set it up as a UN food program. I hope that answers your questions.

Like any other moral nation, the Republic of Ithuania does not have any sort of government-run welfare program. Therefore, we are not too concerned one way or the other.

Amend the proposal to state:

"The Republic of Jeditopa and ALL nations voting for this resolution... will be totally responsible for all charges, costs and debits generated by this measure."

After this is done, The Grand Duchy will gladly support your efforts to implement another layer of welfare.

Ok, first of all I can see where you are coming from here. Sure lets help the poor, but lets look at it another way

If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day. If you teach him how to catch his own, he eats for a lifetime.

I say no, we shouldnt provide free food to the poor. It will teach them nothing on how to try and overcome their situation. The better solution is to offer them jobs, the ones that its hard to find people to do. Get them into that, they earn money themselves, they buy their own food and gain experience to hopefully get them a better job in the long run.
