Long since the worldwide "war on drugs" has begun, billions have been spent to improve our nations and rid our streets of illicit drug use. However, this war has done more harm than good in its time.

A dangerous international black market has been created causing higher mortality rates and overcrowded jails around the world. Although some nations have chosen to legalize these drugs (specifically marijuana), others have not yet repealed these worn out ideals of prohibition. This conflict in drug policy only leads to a hightened occurance of international crime and simply does not work.

The United Socialist States of Angrus would like to propose an international legalization on marijuana for private home use, or at specially licensed smoking "bars".

Drugs are legal in my country, they only become a problem when they are illegal, and you should let individual nations deal with it their own way. There actually is no national policy in my country it is different province to province.

Drugs are only legal in my Empire if its strictly for prescribed medicational use only. Other types of drugs not under this category must be sudmitted for indepth,detailed and strict analysis and to be judged in the high court to vote whether it is allowed or not. If its not, its simply thrown away with the rest of the supplies it came from and those who persist to disobey such law are sentenced to high security prison (length of time committed depending on the strength of disobedience of the victim in the case).

Due to this, i basically vote yes.

The only way legalization of Marijuana will occur in my country is if it is regulated by the government and controlled by doctors for medicinal purposes ONLY.

there is nothing wrong with drugs, its the abuse of drugs that is wrong. drugs are legal in my country, but there is also government funded rehab. drugs are not a problem in my country at all. we have maybe 1-5 drug related deaths a year, and the majority of the population doesnt even use drug. about 15% uses drugs, and of that 15% only25% use more than just marijuana. thats less drug use than in countries that ban drug use so it's acceptable to me. several proposals have been dismissed on this issue because it isnt a problem. give everyone a choice and after the intial excitement dies down the demand dies down. a pound of cocaine on the streets in my nation is about 250 munichs which is about 400 US dollars.
