Should the UN have it's own side?
If the UN doesn't have a side but peace then it obviously has to side with someone. If it doesn't then it's not exactly on the right side. The UN should be ran by a peaceful country and it should have the right say.

The UN is run and controlled by the members and that is not likely to change. I’m not sure what ‘sides’ there are to pick from or what sort of argument you are talking about.

Hmmm, I am thinking what they are trying to say through lines of bad grammar is that the U.N. should be run by a single "peaceful" country.
Pfffrt
We have rules, and we have mods. I will not sanction some 1984 style dictatorship to act as our U.N. Plus lets ignore the folly of one person running the show, they would be ran off their feet, everything would need deputisation to others, and all hell would break loose, due to lack of effective co-ordination.
There are other arguments, but me need coffee.

From a mechanical sense, the UN is run by the mods, most of whom are reasonably peaceful.

(Perky voice)
"Did somebody mention brownies, oh yay! Chocolate ? " :D
...
My nose ? , oh, that * was * witty.
Should I then warn you of the rectangular book like object hurtling towards your opinionated bee-hind? In a perfectly "Love Thy Niegbour" sense, naturally, :)
