Progressive improvement of the UN, and future resolutions

First of all, the DSH wishes to express it's encouragement as to the content of recent proposals and resolutions - in general they have been of a much higher standard, and much more within the UN mandate than those resolutions the DSH were earlier involved in debating, and which disenchanted the DSH as well as a number of other states regarding how the UN was being abused.. It would appear that the UN has taken a decidely purposeful step towards eliminating frivilous or idiotic resolutions.
We congratulate all active member states for bringing about this change.

Moreover, we are seeking interested member states to work in consultancy towards developing resolutions regarding the treatment of civilians in conflict zones, the treatment of women, and the protection of peackeepers and non-affiliated humanitarian groups in conflict areas. These are areas we feel there is a clear need for resolutions.

Topics will be considered for each topic if there is a sufficent interest.

Thank you for your time

We concur with all points made raised by the delegate from Hirota.

All of these seem to be important areas of discussion. We're also worried by the lack of any protocol supporting diplomatic immunity, but human rights issues come first.

Indeed, we hear rumour of certain nations bugging important discussions between officals within the UN

(OOC: I've thought about that as well ;) )

*projects wide-eyed innocence*

Surely no nation would be so unscrupulous?

Surely no nation would be so unscrupulous?

*sigh* we find it inconceivable ourselves, but sadly regardless of if some nations are or not, all it takes to bring about such panic is the words of some crazy woman (well technically woman, although our journalists have always thought otherwise).

Fully understood and agreed with.

Sighs all round...

The oddly knowledgable yet most definitely not wearing a wire nation of Berkylvania salutes the Democratic State of Hirota for not only encouraging the new spirit of UN resolutions but also for providing a vision of areas of conflict that deserve immediate attention and debate.

As a token of our appreciation, we will be sending you a large potted plant that we hope you will place in your office, within 5 to 8 feet of your desk and with a clear and unobstructed line of sight towards any computer monitors you may have as we have found this type of plant needs these conditions for optimal intelligence gathering...er, um, growth. Also, please ignore any buzzing sounds or wires you may see trailing from the plant as these only provide stability and a firm root system.

We thank the delegate from Berkylvania for their kind gift. Sadly however our capital city has suffered a invasion from highly active locusts, which have caused tremendous devastation on plant life.

For this esteemed gift, and to protect it from an unfortunate end, we have had to "temporarily" place it in the cleaners supply cupboard under the stairs.
