Reasons to support the UNSC

-All nations are given the option and not required to participate.
-All nations can still pursue their own space objectives, outside the UNSC.
-It will further the knowledge of space.
-A collective effort allows nations to have as much or as little participation as they want. Therefore small nations can contribute as much or as little as they want, but returns on stock will be distributed proportionally.

I agree, and if you support the current UN resolution, view my nation's purposal entitled Further than the Moon.

This is by far one of the stupidest proposals I have ever seen in my entire life, and I saw Ralph Nader run for president for Christ's sake. While we're on the topic of space exploration, why don't we band together to set up a colony at the center of the earth? Hey, we could call it Zion like in The Matrix! It would be totally cool!
Seriously, the past 4-5 proposals have been incredibly stupid, can't someone think up something worth at least debating? Christ, I thought this was a nation simulation game, not a four year old's wet dream.
I'd refer my fellow delegate of NukesAlot to the previous recent resolutions - Rights and Duties of UN States, Definition of 'Fair Trial' and Passport harmonisation. These three (all from the last 4-5) are clearly areas the United Nations should have debated and benefitted from, and are clearly an improvement from some resolutions passed in the past, such as the legalisation of prostitution.
Moreover, instead of simply complaining about the content of certain resolutions (which we will gladly agree can sometimes tend to wander into the realms of science fiction, and member states should try and keep on foot in the domain of common sense) that they should try and introduce proposals that are beneficial, and also contribute to proposals for the good of the UN as a whole. Not only would the UN gain much from positive contributions, it would also prove to member states that NukesAlot can do more than just wildly complain, and can form policy.
In addition, we would ask the delegate for NukesAlot to consider submitting proposals so that other nations can tear apart their carefully constructed proposals and blatantly insult them.

I, Comrade Seymour, find it somewhat distressing that some members of the UN are such ardent supporters of the new proposals for a resolution concerning further space exploration.
We have been told that a lunar base will be established, and that there shall be no pressure on weaker nations to involve themselves financially in the project. What I therefore question is the reasoning for putting such a project through the UN. After all, it will soon turn into an elitist project dealt with amongst the wealthiest of nations who wish to turn space into their playground, most probably for threatening reasons. After all, the most prominent advantage of a base on the moon will ofcourse be military, with the likes of 'NUKESALOT' or whatever his name is in favour of the proposals, there is no dealt that the full military capacity of theis base will be utilised.
Come on comrades! Do you not see that this is a threatening, dangerous project that will only benefit the power hungry, dominant nations of our world? How can we let such a perverse and dangerous motion pass through the U.N, our world greatest peace keeping orgfanisation? Before we consider extending our frontiers in such a fashion as is proposed, why do we not consider the problems of our own world?

The quickly quippy yet snidely whiplashy nation of Berkylvania is astounded that Ralph Nader ran for president upon the urging of Christ. We can just imagine the chagrin Pat Robertson must have felt upon hearing that Jesus called Mr. Nader to him and said, "Ralph, if not for yourself, then do it for me."
Actually, the past 4 or 5 proposals have shown a remarkable improvement in the quality and thoroughness of thier development. While we as a nation have not been able to support them all, we certainly salute nations such as Hirota that take time and thought in their submissions and provide us with such interesting, if sometimes misguided, propositions.
Additionally, perhaps the honored speaker of NukesAlot would be so kind as to point to the resolutions he has recently placed on the floor for debate?

You say you want a Resolution?
Oh yeah, you know, we all wanna change the world...
I voted to basically make the moon the property of the UN, to facilitate scientific advancement. I would easily consider space itself within x million miles of Earth orbit to be the property of the Earth and the UN.
Halfway to Mars, and/or Venus, that proprietary right ends. The Earth may not dictate how civilization may or may not develop on other worlds.
I'll oppose any proposition to expand Earth's or the UN's claims beyond these limits. At such time that independent nations exist beyond the orbit of the moon, and those nations apply to the UN for membership, THEN I may consider the authority of the UN beyond Earth's orbit.
