Tapani Sovereignty Trade proposal

24-02-2004, 15:45
*The mighty Khan, Traikis, steps forward. His immaculate uniform dichotomous with the long black hair that flowed to his shoulders*

As the only member of this auspicious body from the Tapani Sovereignty, I claim right to speak. I shall be brief my colleagues.

Defense is the most heartfelt desire of any small and developing country or region. For this reason I have proposed to my peers of Tapani that by joining our three militaries into a unified force we may better be able to help defend ourselves and others. In doing so I put forth that by allowing their militaries to be joined with that of the Nomadic Peoples of Traikis, that they may acquire a favored trade status with the UN for their show of solidarity and dedication to the ideal of peace.

I ask all who would support the rights of the small but upcoming regions to join me and the Sovereignty by putting forth your word to support us in this endeavor.

Thanks you all for your time and I look forward to your replies.

*Traikis bows his head sharply and turns on his heel to return to his seat which he takes slowly while watching the other delegates carefully*

Another representative can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not sure the United Nations gives most favored nation status to anyone, partially because there is no set trading structure, and partially because its never been raised as an issue before. Setting up a trade agreement might be a little more difficult than an "ask and ye shall recieve" process.

Sincerely yours,
