Glorious greetings fellow nations. The magnificent nation of Bahgum proposes the following, which was wisely drawn up by our most esteemed minister for pies and family relations:
Nuclear Obsolescence
A resolution to slash worldwide military spending.

Description: Very rarely does an opportunity to solve two pressing issues at once present itself. However, this fine resolution is such a chance, grasp it with both hands now!
The problems:
Increasing proliferation of nuclear arms and the resulting steady slow march to the return of cold war status in some areas of the world.
Advances in society have given the mother in law far too much free time (and we ALL know that is not good).
The Solution:
Bahgum Proposes, that in its most humble opinion, the UN should:
Establish regional 'crack' squads of mothers in law under UN command.
Such squads to be dispatched to any regions where nuclear proliferation or threat of nuclear exchange is under way.
Upon arrival the mothers in law will, as nature has bestowed them, interfere in that regions affairs to such an extent that the possibility of continuing a nuclear programme or threatening war will become impossible, or just plain forgotten about as the UN squad continue their 'work'.
Indeed, it is expected that nations will gladly surrender all nuclear arms and nuclear programmes just to have the UN re-call the mother in law squad.
So..let's give our mothers in law a reason to go somewhere else! Let's solve the nuclear problem. Endorse the UN mother in law programme.
