I have submitted a proposal to the UN (my first one) and I am looking for delegate support. Read it, I don’t know how you could say no- approve it! Thanks a bunch,

Like this:

No.Nature Preserve
A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental
Industry Affected: All Businesses
Proposed by: Steve P
Description: In order to save at least some areas of pristine wilderness around the NationStates world, this resolution would require each UN member nation to set aside at least 100 acres of their most beautiful forests or wilderness areas for a nature preserve.

Each preserve would be representative of each nation, showing the diversity of forests and animals in each nation. It would strengthen public patriotism by displaying the unique natural aspects of their nation. Foreign dignitaries could take tours through them- the possibilities are endless.

Each nature preserve would need to be funded and protected with funds from the individual governments. This proposal is pointless. 100 acres is a meaningless preserve, both in size and appropriate use. Where should I set aside the acreage for my Shrimp Platters, Steve? The smallest of our commercial shrimp farmers is substantially larger than 100 acres.

Good intentions, poor execution. I recommend you read Sophista's sticky on how to write a proposal, then come back to the forums before you repost this. It needs a lot of work.

Uh, I doubt that any nation has less than 100 acres of said land. Seriously, you need to square that or something  . And if you propose that, loads of people will probably go on about "national sovereignty" (if they care so much about it, why join the UN? :? )
