Prostitution is the most disgusting and sickly of crimes, it is my concern that this bill passed by the United Nations, is desroying all UN countries and should be reversed as soon as possible, since the enactment of the bill fathers and mothers have let thier sons and daughters be prostituted and abused, the poor have turned to prostitution as a source of income spreading AIDS and other Sexually Transmitted Deseases throughout UN countries, this sickly and terrible resolution must be reversed! I urge anyone who can to post a resolution against this as it is ruining the world we live in.

Wives and husbands divorce rates are up by 82% in Revistan and even more in some countries, Delegates don't turn away from this abuse reverse it now, for your peoples sake!

If you don't like the Legalise Prostitution resolution then vote for the UN charter (if you cannot vote on proposals then campaign for it, give the charter a look in the UN Charter discussion)

I'll have to respectfully disagree.

Prostitution is the most disgusting and sickly of crimes...

Really? Worse than murder, rape, child molestation, mass fraud, or treason? I suppose some people really do want to interfere with the right of consenting adults to do as they please, but hey, I should just mind my own business and let the government revoke the right of its people to determine how to live their own lives, I guess.

...since the enactment of the bill fathers and mothers have let thier sons and daughters be prostituted and abused...

Uh-huh. I wonder if you realize that one of the main reasons to legalize prostitution is so that you can regulate it? When prostitutes can report abuse and there is a distinction between adult and child prostitution (ie: one is legal), it becomes that much easier to track and stop abuse.

And apparently you didn't notice the bit where that resolution didn't give parents the right to pimp out their children. Since you've evidently located the problem, I would suggest that you enforce your own laws on the matter.

I'd also challenge you to find a real-world correlation between legalization of prostitution and an increase in child molestation.

...the poor have turned to prostitution as a source of income spreading AIDS and other Sexually Transmitted Deseases throughout UN countries...

That statement implies rather directly that your nation suffers from a crippling unemployment problem which you are unable to solve through other means. If there are that many jobless people, and your government is unable to offer them help -- otherwise, there seems to be no cause to look for this type of work, or so your logic would seem to dictate -- then perhaps you should explore the morality of expressly keeping people out of work that they need to do to earn money in order to survive.

And, hey, if you try to respond that you have no unemployment problem, I'd say that you've caved in your own argument. Why? Because then you've stated that the majority of people have jobs, aren't prostituting themselves for additional money, and so there can't be all that many people spreading STDs around.

I'd also challenge you to find a real-world correlation between the legalization of prostitution and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

And again, one of the main purposes of that resolution was to allow regulation. Mandate condoms, limit the prostitutes to federally managed brothels, require testing for STDs, do what you will to limit your health problems without violating the freedom of your people.

...Wives and husbands divorce rates are up by 82% in Revistan and even more in some countries...

Oh really? It's so much easier to make a point when your evidence can be made up. Maybe if you find a real-world correlation between the legalization of prostitution and divorce rates I'll consider that argument.

The thing is, many nations in the real world have legalized prostitution and see little of the crippling problems so many people expect. Two examples I'll go ahead and toss out are Germany and the state of Nevada -- find me these crippling problems in those places, would you?

It is legal to be a prostitutes and sell yourself for money. This does not mean it is legal to buy such services. It is like many United States drug laws. It is legal to have alcohol and other drugs but it is not necessarily legal to buy them save for regulated conditions if at all.

It is legal to be a prostitute and offer for sale, but illegal to buy the services.

On the other hand, it is silly to deny someone the ability to charge money for something that others give away for free or price of dinner and movie.

Prostitution is not necessarly slavery! Allow people to sell their bodies such as any other product if thats what they want! If people want prostitutes they will exist anyway... so why not legalize it? With its legalization prostitues could be assisted properly and have access to medical care... An increase in law inforcement in areas where prostitution is alowed should also help controling crime related to prostitution

I think it's great as it is. You can put huge sale taxes to prostitutes, which would mean more revenue. You are discourage them to do it, without necessarely outlawing it. And you make money off people who do it anyways.

Prostitution is a necessary evil. While I may condone it personally, there are places that the process of prostitution is a viable AND safe industry for those involved. Certain places throughout Europe cultivate it in an attempt to curtail rape and murder of women within countries. It is when it is done underground, led by druglords and pimps, that horrible consequences are present.

Well although I personally don't agree I can't really argue with all that :?
