The representative from the land of Rothegar is very dissapointed in the UN for passing a resolution legalizing prostitution. Most resolutions are legitimate and make sense, but this one is moraly backward and has no purpose in our world.

Please post replies with your explanation of why prostitution should be legal, or whatever opinion you hold

We also point out that despite any wishes to the contrary, there is no possible way to repeal this passed resolution, according to the game mechanics rules of this organization, and that appeals for its repeal or amendment will be met with scorn and catcalls, as is the usual practice.

Legalized prostitution is a way to make the worlds oldest profession safer for those involved, by requiring regular medical exams and licencing, we are stopping the spread of disease and stopping the exploitation of women by pimps, Women are able to run their own buiness withou having to pay some shady guy to be their pimp and watch their back, the police can do that.

I am franky appalled at the fact that they are legalizing prostitution. That should NOT be legal. Yes, I say that we should have many freedoms. But that should not be one of them.

The representative from the admittedly new land of Rothegar would like to thank Frisbeeteria for replying to our post.

The representative would also like to point out that in no way did Rothegar express the wish that the amendmant be repealed or changed. We were simply interested in the reasoning behind the votes.

Although it would give us endless pleasure to search through archives of forum topics and replies, running a country and having a life make for a busy day. Also, the system is running dissapointingly slow :( .

Iuthia has always allow this profession to be practiced, it's alot safer when it's regulated and reviewed constantly... plus we can tax it. The trick with legalising these things is to allow your citizens to do what they will with themselves, yet to educate them of the dangers before hand.

This is the Freaking UN. The UN is suppose to be about upholding justices, stopping other countries from destroying themselves, sending relief to nations in aid, not passing meaningless and pointless resolutions (I.E this one). You'd think the UN would have better things to do, then promote the spread of epidemics.
