No prostitiutes
I have submitted a proposal that will make it illegal to be a prostitue in our nation. I hope for your all's support.
Ah, how time flies. It seems like just the other day we had a fierce debate about the issue and voted on it.
Oh wait, it was just a few days ago we decided this issue.
I agree we just voted on this issue.
If you disagree you should suck it up.
The way I see it you should either follow the UN resolution or leave.
[please note that you can simply make it very hard to do things that you dont want happening in your country]
The UN has no authority to moderate a nations internal policy, only external. As such, this point is moot, and prostitution remains illegal in The Isle of Skye. Please see the official statement from the throne.

[Duly noted, but my nation's people are too educated and outspoken to play legal games.]

Hey Sentra, how ya been?
On Topic, you can enact laws in your country to make prostitution illegal if you want to. While you can't directly outlaw it, what you can is make it so certain requirements have to be met to become a prostitute, requirements you can set as high as you want , such as a minimum age of, oh, say, 500 years. That way you can effectively outlaw prostitution in your nation without violating the UN resolution.
This is not the RW UN, as has been said before. Our UN has the (frightening) capacity to legislate internal policy of all member nations.
The hirotan government has already submitted their legal stance regarding prositution. While we cannot make the act itself illegal, we have taken steps to punish perpetrators of sexual exploitation (that is anyone who procures, entices or leads away by any means, a person for prostitution, even with that person's consent; anyone who knowingly keeps, manages or finances or takes part in the financing of a brothel; and knowingly lets or rents a building or other place for the purpose of prostitution) and also penalising customers who promote the demand for the prostitution of others,
In line with UN resolutions we are rejecting any form of penalisation of the prostitute themselves and providing those vulnerable to exploitation with Educational programs and work to increase their economic opportunities and enhance their status and worth, Shelter and housing assistance and Voluntary and confidential counselling and medical services, particularly for prevention, and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS, and substance abuse.
We continue to work against sexual expoitation regardless of the glaringly scary problems the recent resolution raised.

As long as International Laws cannot be stronger than a country's constitution , and as long as with the last revision of the Greek Islands Constitution (1989) , we banned prostitution ( law 4899/89 ) , we won't enact the law .

Ah screw 'em, at least all the ugly bastards, trainspotters and computer nerds out there will now have a chance to lose their virginity/get their end away...
There is no precedence on this, international law in NS is absolute... The law affects your country whether you say it does or not... so yea...

Is there any chance we can lay this subject to rest now? Simply enact the appropriate laws in your own nations to exploit the loopholes in the resolution if you absolutely have to. Problem solved.
Frank Chalmers
Speaker for International Relations
The resolution is against the human rights and we cannot obey .
If some nations are so immoral to do it , we can't do anything for them . Their bad .
We had a referendum in our country , and the 91% of our people said NO to prostitution .

"The nation of Itakeitall, a nation considered by few to care about morality, cannot, even in its small and lacklustre conscience, accept this ruling by the UN, and has sadly been forced to cut its ties to that once venerable association. It is a sad day for the world when the proud member states of that institution support the worst kind of sexual exploitation. We do not intend to comply with this ruling, and hope that the UN will rectify this sad mistake and return to its prior position as a force for good."
