Recently Tora-Bora Talibans proposed a resolution that will help the small UN country to survive.

HELP FOR THE SMALL UN MEMBERS
"UN should help its little UN members in struggling for their survivall. To do this I propose that:
UN should redirect 10-30% of the taxes, paid by a nation as a custom duty, to special fund. These 10-30% will be distributed between all UN members at proportional endorsemant-based principle.
This means that the smallest UN nations will receive some kind of help from the excess riches of the largest countries. In that way UN will keep its smallest members surviving without damaging the economy of the biggest."

HELP FOR THE SMALL UN MEMBERS have only one purpose - to encourage the small UN countries to exist. They are the heart and the soul of UN and the NationStates, so they should be let to grow and prosper in a friendly environment.

I invite ALL UN delegates to vote for this important for our future proposal in order to be voted by the all UN. If you trully care about the fate of the smallest members in your community you WILL vote FOR.

I invite ALL UN members to send a TG to their regional delegate, insisting for their approval. If you really care about YOUR survivall you will force them to vote.

I hope that you will make the right decision!

Umm..that's great but you didn't tell us the name of the proposal, the proposal itself or even the slightest hint of what it is about.

Wouldn't it be easier to just resign?

Small nations are not the heart and soul of the UN.
The older veterans are.

The majority of small UN nations seem to be largely passive.

The vast majority of active small (I'll define as 100 mil or under) join NS, spam the proposal list with junk, endorse junk proposals, and leave.

The few that are both active and non annoying generally become veterans (and even some of the annoying ones).

Just like in the RW though, no one cares what the small countries think, it's just the few power players. We just gotta stick around eh?

:shock: I CANNOT agree with Qaaolchoura. If only few people do all in NationStates I find no interst to play it! :x

If you're still here a month from now, maybe you can make a difference. Otherwise, Qaaol is right. The vast majority of posts and proposals come from nations that are two weeks old or less, and they're oh-so-quick to tell people who have been here for a year or more how stupid they are.

Earn some UN credibility first by posting reasonable arguments in current topics, and wait a bit before slapping down your proposals. People will be more likely to listen.

Thank you for your advise, I'll take it in consideration, but with some reservations! You don't have to be veteran in NS to have own opinion about the things! If the NS supports the thinking people it shouldn't judge them by their age or experience! The real-life constitutions agree with me.
You must admit that playing with only several peoples will be quite borring. If you want more serious players you should encourage them, not force them to leave! No one will want to continue with NS if it's in hostile environment - he/she will most likelly depart back to one as equal as this world - the real world of unjustice!
"If no one cares about us we don't want to be here", thinks most of those passive players. I will probbably think the same if I wasn't that kind of person!
This is my advise to you as a people with personal opinion. I hope you won't meet it with hostile attitude!

Well, if you look at our founding date, you actually see that our nation of Illaria was founded on Feb 2... yesterday at 2 in the morning. Yet we are here participating in a global forum discussing peace, war, and the global good. If that is not welcoming to newcomers, what is?

You dont start in politics with a lot of power and clout... you make it, you earn it, and you fight for it. (then, if you dont get it, you steal a nuke and ruin someone's major city)
