Vote for my Media Balance proposal!
"As you all probably are aware of there's a media imbalance between the western world and the developing countries. We, in the industrialized parts of the world, continuous get reports on political and economic occurances from our part of the world. Occurrences taking place in the poor world doesn't get any attention in the western world, if the occurances doesn't effect these country's relationship with nations of the industrialized world. Even in the developing countries an economic crash in U.S.A. gets more space in media than a genocide in Somalia as an result of a new media landscape with oligopoly and conglomerates.
We propose that the United Nations seize influence and power over the news flow to bring about balance in the spread of news."
