Gods Among Humanity
A resolution to restrict civil freedoms in the interest of moral decency.

Category: Moral Decency Strength: Significant Proposed by: Yukkata
Description: To further spirituality and moral decency all around the world, the international community should adopt and further the belief that:
1. There are divine beings who walk the Earth in the shape of human beings.
2. These divine beings have the right to be worshipped by all humans who accept their divinity, and the amount of worship they gain is the measuring stick of their divinity.
3. These divine beings are, by nature, incapable of commiting human mistakes and crimes and therefore enjoy total protection from jurisdiction.
4. Those divine beings who amass a religious community of significant size behind them are, by power of faith placed upon them, greater than men and may base legitimate leadership of a nation upon their divinity.

Voting Ends Feb 1.

We of the Deathseelers are very concerned to see this proposal lacking support. Our region has no delegate (for now, soon this will be rectified), and our blessed Emperor Hantei is such a human as is described above. We believe that this proposal is essential to the furtherment of our beliefs in the national community. Please vote for this proposal. We humbly bring this to your collective attentions.

We, of the Holy Empire of Kokablel, do not need the personal seal of approval of the United Nations for our religion and see no purpose to such a meaningless proposal. We will not for it and will vote actively against it as a waste of time, inappropriately vague and bordering on a violation of national sovereignty.

The Kingdom of Corriene cannot support this proposal on the grounds that government has no right to meddle in religion, unless the religion is based upon that government. With such a broad variety of religions, it is impossible to please every religion.

The message should be to preach tolerance, not force nations to conform against their will.
