Greetings,
I am the president of the United Socialist States of Sepland, while not much of a heard of nation anymore, we are a big nation with over a billion,3 million in population.
The issue tonight is the extent of control that the UN now has over member nations. The UN was not started to be a world governing body that controls member states, but a body to preserve peace and have basic rights to all citizens of the world.
Over the past few months (RL time) the UN has started to control issues that soverign nations deserve to control, not other nations.
The reason for this address is to encourage delegates to the UN to try to pass and campaign for freedom of nations of the UN before membership is substantially droped.
We advise that delegates pass resolutions removing previous resolutions that restrict freedoms of nations that are not confined to UN law, and pass more freedoms for nations.
If a campaign is not started for freedom of the nations of the UN then another campaign will be started by Sepland, and hopefuly other nations will follow.
This campaign will be to form a new union of nations, a diffrent organization based on the UN, with the same principals but advocating independant nations rights.
Perhaps this organization would be socialist oriented, or perhaps that would only be another of the organizations started by Sepland, but before that day is necessary, the UN must have more freedom for its nations.
Start the battle for freedom now!
-President Kurt Jenkins
