The following item is on the list of UN proposals
Clean safe power seems like a worthy cause for a world with dwindling sources of new energy.
This proposal is "advisory" not a mandate, and only asks that nations "make an effort' to decrease their dependence on oil.
Please give some thought to this proposal, and contact your representative in the UN. This is NOT a northnewenglandshire proposal, but definately one we believe has merit.

Category: Environmental Industry Affected: All Businesses Proposed by: Melcher
Description: Every country should required to consider alternative sources of power as we burn our oil reserves at an alarming rate. If we burn all of our petroleum resources, we will not only consume all of the raw materials required for the plastics that the world needs, but we will also continue to destroy the environment by continuing global warming. Each country must look into solar, wind or nuclear power in an effort to decrease oil consumption by 20% over the next ten years.
