Abortion

While we realize that abortion is a very controversial topic, i would just like to get a preliminary feel for how the UN stands on it.
Thank You.
does it occur to you that you greatly bias your poll by not including an option for "don't legalize abortion", "none of the above", "outlaw abortion", etc.? and btw, what's with all the proposals to legalize things that arent internationally illegal to begin with? you'd just be forcing it to become legal in the nations who had already chosen to outlaw it....

One feels that if you do not agree with said issue, it could be dismissed. There is no need to vote at all. I myself would like to see all abortion legalised, and all care homes abolished. Mothers need to learn not to get themselves in these situations. Either they learn to live with their unwanted offspring, or themselves/said children will die in the process. ;)
You want abortions legalized, but you want people to live with their unwanted children? So you want people to live with boxes of dead fetises?

I think abortion should be legalised up until the point where the foetus can survive outside the mother's womb (well has a certain chance of survival - which would have to be decided at some future date). Before the foetus can live outside the mothers womb it is effectively a part of the mother's body and wholly dependant on the blood and lymph supplies of the mother. This accounts for many abortions arising from young people (who are most likely to be unable to support a child) who have unprotected sex / or their protection fails. Remember that women mostly only get one chance to have an abortion, if that is taken then the next time a woman gets pregnant she has to live with the consequences. It is not like women can carry on getting pregnant and terminating countless children due to their promiscuity.

I would simply prevent abortioon from being used as a form of birh control.
This would allow aborions for any other reasons, such as health, or in cases of rape and incest, because those would not be ordinary cases of birth control.
THis one simple measure would eliminate roughly 85% of abortions.

Can we lock one of these identical topics and just use the other, please?
YOU DON'T HAVE TO POST YOUR ANSWER IN BOTH OF THEM.

The Rogue Nation of Greenspoint:
1) Recognizes that life begins at conception.
2) Recognizes the right to life of every individual.
3) Recognizes that individual rights can only be abrogated through Due Process.
4) Recognizes the impossibility of an unborn baby committing a capital crime.
5) Allows the termination of the life of an unborn baby only under extreme medical circumstances where the life of the mother is in direct and imminent threat.

First the UN forced all nations to allow euthanasia and in many cases violate their own beliefs, now will it force them to legalize abortion?

Catholic Europe is vehemently against abortion and will only allow abortion in two cases:
1) If the mother and babies life is in danger.
2) If the mother, or the baby, will die as a result of the pregnancy.
