17-01-2004, 21:34
This is my current proposal it will help everyone with education and economy as well as civil rights and political freedoms, this is the last day to vote on it i think so please take a look at it and spread the word

Description: Todays society need communication of knowledge in order for prosperity. Knowledge can allow People to maintain better and more productive lives

This proposal is to increase the Education of all nations by creating an International University for all members of the united nations to attend.

This proposal is to accomplish seaveral goals, but will also need to be regulated so that all may benifit

Article 1: regulation one: This university will be free to all.

Article Two: Goal 1: the first effects of this University will cause mass immigration of scholars as well as bussiness to advertise and sponser this college.

Article Three: Goal 2: many nations should benifit in the long run as scholars all over the world will become educated, and will be able to work more efficiently at jobs that require a certain higher degree of skill.

Article four: Regulation 2: All who attend will be given equal education to the best of the level of their skill if they need to improve they will start at a lower level then work there way up to a higher level of education.

If this actually works, this will not only increase the Economies of all nations, but will also:

Sub Article 1: Regulation 1: The university must also allow its attendents to Political and civil rights at a high calibur

Sub Article 2: goal 1: increase the civil and political rights of many other nations as more citezens will have the right to an education and will be able to express more of their political views at a international scale.

I hope that the number of nations needed to endorse this proposal exceeds itself, for this will benifit us all.

Remember today is the last day to vote on it :!: :!:

if you posted the name of it people would be able to find it.

I'd probably support it but I do not get delegate status until the server updates it.

I disagree because the right to education has already been passed and this would eliminate the upper class, which is communist, which i'm not so NO :P

It's all well and good to mandate a free university education to all U.N. member nation's citizens, but the proposal does not address how the university will be funded, where it will be located, etc.

The Rogue Nation of Greenspoint is certain the U.N general fund has no funds for this. We would like to say, "show me the money!"

That is up to the individual nation to decide. Because of the nature and rules of the UN, a nation either has to 'suck it up' and pay, or be removed from the UN for violations.

If this resoloution dies, please consider re-writing it and re-submitting it (don't just copy-paste it, evauate everything.) and Iwill support it the next time 'round (provided of course my region dosn't change it's mind and decide to vote another member into delegacy.)

Who is to pay for it?

That is up to the individual nation to decide.

Our question is: 'Which individual nation?' Where will the university be located? That needs to be defined.

If you are implying that each nation will have its own particular 'branch' of U.N. Univ. we'd like to know where that's detailed in the proposal.

Too many questions are left unanswered by the proposal, and The Rogue Nation of Greenspoint cannot support it.

This is my current proposal
Not to be nit-picky about spelling ... but I'd have more respect for the nation if he spelled HIS OWN NAME correctly in the topic header.

(Oh bushwah, you know you love it when I'm nit-picky)

Who is to pay for it?

Under the current legislation, Nations. Which doles out to taxpayers (no such thing as free education unless it's non-profit.)

Fortunatly New Eriu does have a non-profit system in place due to education being part of our religious mandate, but I recognize that it dosn't work that way in all nations.

Free education is incredibly easy. As for this matter, I can't very well raise my tax rate above 100% and if you want me to cut my military, they'd sooner go to war.
