It might be worth a shot. After all, with 20,000 votes cast, the difference was a little over 700, if memory serves. Certainly, it was no blow-out.

Excellencies: Many in TheBalkans are disgusted with this Euthanasia fiasco. ZNN(ZahumljeNewsNetwork) Public announcement was made by Her Majesty the Queen-Kommissar Katja in regard to the United Nations Euthanasia Fiasco
'The Constituent Peoples of Zahumlje have risen in opposition to the latest ruleings of the United Nations. Many things the United Nations did in the past helped Zahumlje but that was then and this is now. Zahumlje doe not see a future as a Rogue Nation, but Zahumlje does not appreciate the dictation by ourside forces. Zahumlje's balance of laws is precisely calibrated to produce peace in Zahumlje. As a Nation We have defied anhilation, and as a Nation we have quietly not gone along with stupid facets of so called 'modernity' in many spheres of life. No ethnic community in Zahumlje favors euthanasia, no religious community favors euthanasia, indeed the only political community with the slightest support for it is the Zahumlje Young Socialist League and they only favor it with far mor rigid controls than the U.N. version of the law. So reluctantly, with a very heavy heart, We have decided to forgo U.N. Membership. When it is a more sensible organization We may as a nation consider re:joining.

We are on the point of resigning from the U.N. over this matter, and a number of nations in Region already have resigned. In fact it'sa pity that forces opposed to Euthanasia were not in contact with those U.N. members in TheBalkans as they would have found determined allies. Please be in touch with Thracia, or our Nation, if you want help in this matter. We will maintain membership one week, if after one week this ill advised law remains in force our nation intends to resign. Actually we'd like to start a different international body of a less tyranical sort. If there is interest in this please telegram Queendom of Zahumlje.
