Recent legalization of Euthanasia

Many members of the UN are unhappy with the legalization of this Euthanisia bill. This poll is aimed to see how many UN members will support a motion to repeal this bill.

Che supports the legalization of euthanasia.
Though we are a somewhat controlling State, we do believe it is people right to die.
Also with this bill we are capable of using euthanasia on medical patients without families or the mentally-ill who are incurable.

I have nothing against Euthanasia. I believe that it is the governments responcibility to make sure that it's countries people do not suffer needlessly. However, the current Euthanasia bill allows the patients family or doctor to determine the patients fate and this is unacceptable.
It is up to the patient and the patient alone to decide whether or not they are euthanized, anything short of that is murder.

Please stop creating new topics calling for Repeal.

It's against Game Mechanics.

It WON'T happen!

The game will not permit the repeal of an already passed Proposal. You can't get it repealed, no matter how many new topics or proposals you put out there, so why do you all keep posting them?

If you want to do something constructive, try supporting this proposal by _Myopia_ (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=116069) which seeks to AMEND the worst flaws of the Euthanasia bill. Get behind something useful instead of bouncing off brick walls.

you rule your own nation. If you want abortion in your own nation, then decide that. You don't need the UN to decide it for everyone to make your nation run the way you want it to.

Thank you. at last someone sees the problem, regardless of their stance on the issue. you can't force people to accept a bill on such a sensitive issue. i'd like to see a proposal, and am working on such that will stop bills dealing with sensitive issues coming into law, whereas sensitive deals with issues that directly concerning moral and ethical thinking, ie. abortion, euthanasia, divorce, suicide, etc. with room for amendments and fine tuning of course. it would be great to get support on this as if a list of "sensitive issues" is compiled then the euthanasia bill WILL become void. this should appeal to those who are either against eitanasia, have a problem with the wording of the original bill or even in favour of euthanasia. it should be up to your nation to decide. hold referendums, perhaps. but don't force feed those who are very strongly divided on such issues.

for the sake of democracy and preservasion of a UNTIED nations, support such a proposal. i would hesitate to propose as i am not an experienced legislator. such issues tend to DIVIDE nations and therefore works against te very principals of the UN.

Schweinfurt would theoretically support this proposal, but within the game mechanics it is unfortunately not possible for a law to be repealed.
