Many people seem to believe in euthanasia for those with terminal illnesses. What this bill would have you believe, is that this is the best possible solution to their suffering.
What it does not address, however, is that many of these people suffer from depression. They feel their mortal life ending, and cannot but feel robbed of the experiences that they could have had.
With proper treatment from a trusted psychologist, these people could live out their days content, instead of wallowing in a constant state of thinking, “what might have been” and “if only”.
These people need competent psychological help, and the love of their families, not euthanasia.
