A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry

I feel there have been far too few Environmental issues passed in the UN. I have counted only 4, in the history of the UN. Please at least give my proposal a chance.

How can you support a proposal, when you plan to leave the UN :?:

I'm not going to leave anymore. I have decided to leave just before the proposal is passed and then return immediately afterwards. Then I will submit proposal after proposal until I eventually nulify this resolution.

That doesn't work, when you rejoin you will still have to follow all previous UN resolutions, including Euthanasia. So... you might as well leave forever.

Istahan takes much pride in its environment, and would vote for any resolution planning to protect the environment.

You will need to be more specific with the "at the expense of industry" part. Every nation (at least in NationStates) has an economy and is in some ways driven by the industry. What this industry is up to the nation in question. However, if your industry IS the environment, this proposal becomes useless and will be working against what it is supposed to protect.

What the Opressed People of Lumpy Nuts, or its supreme leader (me) believes, is that industry has to complement the environment. We can't just concentrate on the environment and leave the people destitute of work or a living.
