Internet Advertising Pop-ups -- Too many flaws

I have voted against this proposal, and I encourage all other UN members to do the same, on the grounds of too many editorial flaws in the works. Let's take a look at the proposal itself for a second...

Come on you know what i mean. these things are the bane of our existence. If they were band, it would create world peace as everyone would walk around in a happy daze knowing that there internet surfing will be trouble free.

Now let's take a look at a UN proposal the has already been passed called Resolution 245A Proper Grammar...

Too long have UN Proposals been filled with improper grammar. One can scarcely move between two pages of proposals without seeing some sort of grammar or spelling error. People need to realize that "your" and "you're" are NOT the same word. People also need to realize that "to" and "too" are also not the same word, and that the "Vaticant" does not exist. Any country that files a proposal with such language shall henceforth be banned from proposals until such time as they understand the English language and can properly convey their ideas.

Obviously, the proposal has many grammatical, capitalization, and spelling errors, including using "i" instead of "I," and "band" instead of "banned" So, according to 245A, we must NOT vote for this proposal.

Also, let's take a deeper look at the proposal. It never proposes anything! It says we'd be more peaceful without them, and that they're the bane of our existance, clearly implying a distaste for pop-up adds. However, it never officially proposes that it should be banned, it never proposes anything in fact. So, let's follow the footsteps 245A has set for us, and reject this proposal, and perhaps accept it actually is a proposal.

Whoever wrote this worthless pile of crap did everything incorrectly.

1. Fragmented sentences, misspellings, improper use of homophones, and other grammatical errors make this resolution a nightmare

2. The resolution makes no attempt to justify its position. Being ridiculously short, and wasting half the time on a useless tangent about happy dazes and such, it doesn’t even attempt to give reasons for adopting the suggestion.

3. As stated by Terra Matsu, it provides no method of actually removing internet pop-ups; it simply states they shouldn't exist.

4. Most online sites are supported by ads, which include pop-ups. If they were banned, many sites would be forced to require members to pay. I certainly don't think that would lead us any closer to ‘world peace’.

I sincerely hope whoever wrote this was trying to be funny. Otherwise, he or she might consider getting professional mental help.

I completely agree with the two previous post, this proposal is a joke. Not only does it not actually propose anything, it lacks thought. Granted ads are annoying, I wouldn't go as far as bane of our exsistence. Maybe some people fail to realize what ads do. They are give jobs to people and allow companies to get their information out. Moreover, when websites offer free services, they keep their prices down or non existent due to the revenue made from the ads. It may seem like a good idea, but we need to stop only thinking about ourselves and how it will affect others.

I completely agree with the last 3 posts, this is the worst resolution I have ever seen that was voted on in terms of spelling and grammar.

I am sitting here with the top of my index finger recently sliced off (yep...), and I'm still able to put together and type a legible and clear sentence. There is no excuse for that string of goofy mistakes that was posted as a proposal. Agreed that such things should not be posted on the UN page for all Jennifer Government visitors and players to see. AT THE VERY LEAST, the botched proposal should have been edited by moderators before posting.

ATTENTION: A new UN proposal has been filed by myself which fixes several of the flaws mentioned for the Internet Advertising Popups resolution.

Please take a minute to read over the "Internet Popup-Ad Reduction" proposal. It fixes grammatical errors, explains the purpose and background for the resolution, defines more specific actions required on the part of member UN nations, and does NOT ban popup-ads; it simply requires companies to allow the blocking of such advertisements in order to boost efficiency of the user and to reduce inappropriate content.

And please, vote NO to the current resolution, as the integrity of the UN resolution proposal process is at stake.

I suggest that we castrate the ignorant, just like they used to do in the good old days. Now that's a proposal.

Actually, it never even states that they should be banned. It says If they were banned.... It nevers states that. So, in fact, this proposal isn't even a proposal. It's just an incorrect, poorly spelled, more poorly edited, statement.

Sure ads are annoying especially when ur looking at not so good things, but unless everyone wants to pay for hosting, there must be pop up ads/banner ads, depending on the person making the site one is more preferable than the other. And overall it has very poor grammar, like my reply only this isn't a resolution, all resolutions must be top notch, as well it is stupid, why should every nation try to stop pop up ads

Put me down as another one who's voted against this purely on grounds of bloody awful spelling and grammar. Web Pop-up ads I can ignore, or close without seeing. Bad grammar needs to be stamped out. Or more accurately, stamped on.
