Does this kind of thing make you mad? Do you believe that world powers should not apply their own drug enforcement laws and ideals to third world countries, solely because they can? Then please endorse my proposal: World Drug Enforcement.
Thank You,
The Armed Republic of El Yakistan
We loathe the real United States policy of the "War on Drugs". We have seen the ill effects of it and will not approve your proposal and will vote against your resolution if it reaches the floor.
This is the proposal:
World Drug Enforcement
A resolution to reduce barriers to free trade and commerce.
*
Category: Free Trade
Strength: Significant
Proposed by: El Yakistan
Description: The Armed Republic of El Yakistan proposes that nations should have no right to meddle in the drug use and drug market of third world countries, despite the nation's strength and their own drug laws.
Approvals: 3 (El Yakistan, Neolithica, Remen)
Status: Lacking Support (requires 134 more approvals)
Voting Ends: Thu Jan 8 2004
This goes contrary to the "War on Drugs," Tony...
I support it because OOC, I'm sick of the US acting like God, and IC, I don't want any countries to start doing that themselves.

Perhaps you should read my original post? Or perhaps you should read the proposal?
*Lights pipe and takes long drag*
Yes...yes...
I am all for countries growing their plants without interference......
I support the war on the war on drugs.

We support the proposal.
War on drugs is waged too closely along military lines; innocent civilians are killed, heavyhanded paramiltary forces are trained and funded only to abuse their powers for personal and political reasons; defoliation of "drug crops" usually merely destroys peasant farmers legitmate operations (the land cannot produce for years after these assaults).

The War on Drugs is a terrible failure and we should cut our losses.
Besides, people own their bodies. They should be allowed to do whatever they want with them.
If I want to get high, that should be my right.

* * * THE HELL ? ? ? * * *
EXCUSE ME ? Did you all start typing after taking a couple of drags?
El Yakistan, your an idiot, a freeking idiot, hell, moderatate me, Oh Mighty Moderators, (Praise be to thy name), I don't care, El Yakistan sounds like a freeking idiot whacked out on too much of the kind of product their sponsoring.
So your saying America should be allowing other countries to sell their government and the American people drugs, so hey, lets start with pot and move up to the heavy stuff, hey I know, who wants to snort some White Lady while we discuss this, oh look, too late, looks like some one already was when they wrote that backwards proposal.
Don't get me wrong, I think America gets alot of stuff ass over tit, but you've got some freeking nerve to advocate the sale of any kind of drugs.
Have you seen the kind of damage done by the "wonder" crop your defending by positioning that link up here,
Hey, maybe your right, I mean, its not like the crop in question has any negative effects, or that its use kills... hey, wait a sec, does it, yes, why I do think it does? (Sarcasm spills over, drips onto floor)
Gee, I like how that article highlights the democratic leading of the country of Ghana, while ignoring that America is the oldest still running democracy in the world. And as such I think might just possibly demonstrate the choices of its people through its actions.
IN CONCLUSION,
We should be praising the U.S. for doing what it can to limit drugs, after all, your angry about the pot being stopped, so what about cocaine? Hmm, what about the other drugs?
Oh yeah, answer me this, if this proposal passed, would that not make a fair portion of the Nation States pro addictive substances?
Anyway, I'll be off now, wouldn't want to delay you all from shooting up...

OOC: My apologies, it was late that night when I was looking through proposals and I was tired.
That or I was on drugs at the time, whichever you prefer.
