Time for Intervention?

I believe it is time for the UN to intervein in the Cayo, Hoko Island conflict, before a war breaks out.

My proposal is that we request that Cayo removes it's troops from the Island. In turn, we shall send peacekeepers to act as a Security Force, to prevent anyone from attempting to take Hoko Island from Cayo. Also, we shall request that Cayo conducts a poll of the people of Hoko Island, and takes the results of the poll into consideration when deciding Hoko's fate. Finally, we shall request that all nations threatening Cayo stand down. Some of you may not agree with handing Hoko to Cayo, but this is far more desirable then a war.

If the UN interveins, than any UN nation either supporting or threatening Cayo must stand down and become neutral in the situation.

Thank You for your time.

Bumping this up. Come on people, this is a chance to stop a conflict that could potentially kill thousands. Some thing must be done. The UN needs to take a more proactive role in the world outside of the UN. Situations like this can be resolved peacefully, that, in my opinion, is what we are here to do.

(OOC: Sorry about the messed up poll, I have no idea what happened, it was fine when I posted this topic...)
