I have placed a simple motion in the United nations which would allow for equallity between gay and straight people.

The proposal is simple it allows for 2 measures

1)recognition of gay relationships with all benefits of straight relationships - defined as each nation seems fit - gay marriage, civil union, or any other wording

2)Immigration benefits for gay partners

These measures are simple and would allow gay and straight to be treated as equal.

The RichfieldMN euqality forum asks for your support on the motion.

The Federation of Soltak has no problem with point one and supports it, as it allows each nation to recognize said relationships as they see fit.

However, I do have a problem with point two, as immigration is a tricky issue. Perhaps amending the proposal to include only point one would provide you a better probability of reaching quorum.

A sensible move would be to make a proposal saying something like "The legal rights of homosexual married couples (in marriages legalised in the "Gay Rights" resolution), must be identical in all senses to those of heterosexual married couples in each nation". That would mean that in states where heterosexual spouses are granted immigration rights, homosexual married couples are too, and where the government has chosen not to grant immigration rights to heterosexual marriages, homosexuals don't get them either - the same would apply for any laws pertaining to marriage, thus ensuring totally equal rights without causing controversy over unrelated issues such as immigration.

A counter proposal? What a pitiful attempt to cull the civil rights of entire societies. What people must come to understand is that no one person is better than any other person for any reason. We are all equal and we all must work together in our quest for unity. This counter proposal drives a wedge between peoples and such acts of moral indecency cannot be allowed. Personal opinion is irrelevant, religion is irrelevant, bias is irrelevant. Do you see what I am getting at here? What is relevant is unity. Unity of purpose, unity of mind, unity of heart. We all must be equal and we all must have the same civil rights regardless, lest our nations fall into such a spiral of discontinuity and hate that we would never recover. I agree with article one of the proposition in its entirety, and would agree to article two if it was modified as such: Immigration should be allowed and not barred by any country on the basis of sexuality. However, governements should not intervene in a positive way either. It should be up to the couple to come to an arrangement. If the government were to intervene positively, this would be an unfair concession not available to opposite sex couples.

There is not a single argument there that is not based purely on the bible. If we are to take these arguments seriously, instead of dismissing you as the bigoted fundamentalist that this post makes you out to be, you are going to have to prove the legitmacy of the bible as a source of fact. In the bible only male homosexuality is condemed (refered to as a man lieing with a man). There is never one condemnation of female homosexuality anwyhere!

Actually I think there is a mention of it in Leviticus and 1 Romans comes to mind but the context of it's usage refers to widespread homosexual behavior of the entire population, which is neither here nor there when discussing actual homosexuals per se, and of those who abandoned 'God' therefore becoming hateful malicious spiteful arrogant slanderers etc.,as many of these moralistic fag slaggers seem to be, who knew these sins were punishable by death and heartily gave approval to whose who commited them. :idea: IMHO the so called moral Christian arguement against homosexuals, referring to the naturally occurring variety, doesn't hold water and is merely hateful scapegoating.

WRATH is such a strong word. I believe that here on Earth there are consiquences for the way we live (our lifestyles). I certainly don't believe that lesbians are by any means God chosen people. If you look back through history homosexuality has always been more "popular" amoung the males of society. So this may account for why aids is more prevalent with gays vs lesbians.

I don't know where you heard this "message" before, but I can assure you that it did not come from Westbor Baptist Church.

The comment I made about this being "too spiritual" was suppose to mean that some people may not be at a point in their life to understand or even care to understand what I was talking about.
